Brandon Christopher Dewey in Iraq.Mr. Dewey was a native of Hayward and lived in Tracy 16 years. He was an infantryman in the Marines and served two combat tours in Iraq. He conducted combat operations in al-Anbar province, as a member of 3rd Battalion 1st Marine Division. He received the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, National Service Defense Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Combat Action Ribbon and the Purple Heart with Gold Star in lieu of second award.He is survived by his parents, Julia and Scott Conover, and Mark and Michelle Dewey; brother, Jason Norrish of Clayton; sister, Elyse Dewey of Tracy; and grandparents, Joan Siers of Livermore and Glenn Dewey of Chico.Visitation from 9 a.m. to noon Monday at Fry Memorial Chapel. A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Burial at Tracy Public Cemetery.
